BLUE FIRE

In BLUE FIRE, Jirel finds herself fighting a foe her greatsword cannot smite and her faith cannot heal: a terrible illness no priest or doctor can explain. In order to find a remedy, Jirel must ally herself with an old foe, an old friend, and a new individual who is neither friend nor foe…yet. From medieval France to the Low Countries to lands found on no map of earth, Jirel will push herself to the limit as she hunts down a cure as mysterious as the disease itself…

Praise and Reviews

  • Tanzer maintains much of Moore’s lyrical interiority but does so with a modern sense of brevity and clarity, while lacing several instances of Jirel in action.

    Letters from the Arcanist
  • This story brings back Thevin, Jirel’s rogue friend, and a new character as well, which is why we wanted to feature all three of them on the cover, a classic S&S style composition with a blue flame framing the background and the title.
